This is my preferred way to get rid of algae.
1. Trim plants and remove as much algae as possible.
2. Clean the filter to ensure good circulation.
3. Do a large waterchange. (75%)
4. Have stable Co2 levels.
5. Have good lighting.
6. Focus on growing healthy plants.
7. Keep up with weekly maintenance.

Healthy plants will always outcompete algae, so focus on that instead of just destroying algae with some sort of chemical product.
